Credit Ratings

On December 3, 2013, S&P reaffirmed its credit ratings for Huntington National Bank senior unsecured notes at BBB+ with a positive outlook. For Huntington Bancshares Incorporated, S&P also reaffirmed its credit rating on senior unsecured notes at BBB with a positive outlook.

On October 8, 2013, Fitch upgraded its credit ratings for both The Huntington National Bank (HNB) and Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (HBI). HNB long-term deposit rating is now an A and senior unsecured notes is now an A-. HBI long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) is now an A-. After these upgrades, the ratings outlook was revised from positive to stable.

On October 7, 2013, Moody’s reaffirmed its credit ratings on HBI senior unsecured notes at Baa1 and confirmed its outlook rating as stable.   For HNB, Moody’s reaffirmed its senior unsecured notes at A3 and confirmed its outlook rating as stable.
